Sims2Inspired Editor Picks

There are alot of terrific websites that dedicated to The Sims2, but I have a list of sites that I visit faithfully for one reason or another. These sites are offer some of the best custom content out there and deserve to be showcased.

ModTheSims2
In my opinion this is the best Sims2 site out there. MTS2 offers all free downloads from a diverse group of creators. Many artists with their own websites will submit their work here too because it has such a large user base.

You will be able to find every thing you could ever need any of your sims. And if you are anything like me, you find a ton of stuff you don't need, but simply have to have. Their database of downloads is extremely well organized and easy to use. You will find TONS of game modifications and hacks that make the game so much more fun and interesting. Also listed are some of the most beautiful sims you have ever seen with all of the "fixins"; like custom hair, clothes, body meshes, accessories, make-up, skintones, eye colors, eyebrows. Seriously anything you could put on a sim is there. Not to mention complete themed set with everything from StarWars to Medival content. Tey have houses, community lots, neighborhoods, cas backgrounds, tutorials and ... really, I could go on and on, I think you proably get the idea.

In fact this site has been so successful that several other communities have popped up around them. These are smaller more niche forums and downloading sites, but they are definately worth checking out:

• Sims2Community - This site is really focused on community. They offer fun contests, pictures, stories, movies and more.
• Insimenator - Insimenator offers the most awesome Sims2 God hack out there. It can basically control all the aspects of any sim on your lot.
  You can find a section that is dedicated to maternity clothing - yes you can have more clothing options for your pregnant sims! You will need a hack that allow your sims mommies-to-be the option of dressing in anything in their closet, you can find that from Squinge at MTS2.
  If you are looking for some diversity in body meshes you will want to check out Marvine & Beosboxboy's Projects for some super hot, majorly buff guys. Your sims can have the body of a super hero or Mr. Universe with their terrific body meshes.
  There is some content available for download that is certainly PG13 and they do offer a several adults only sections that offer some mature clothing, body meshes and objects.
• SexySims2 - WarningThis site is for adults only! You must be 18 to regiser at the forum to be able to download any of the items. There are quite a few people that are looking for anatomically correct nude skintones, SexySims2 has some of the best available.
• Helaene - Helaene is a huge favorite through out the entire sims community. You will find her incredible creations on sims all over the web. Her eyes and make up are some of the best I have ever seen.

Bines Sims Revue - Here is another terrific site offering lots of free downloads, however my favorite page of theirs is their updates page. This section of the site is updated every day with a list of other sims sites that have made updates! Every day you can find anywhere from 20 - 50 Sims2 websites that have made updates. Bines Sims Revue has introduced to me to almost everyone of the Sims2 websites from which I have greatly enjoyed downloading.

XM Sims - Flora has the some of the best free hairstyles around as well as some really nice clothes and objects. Most of the hairstyle or for female sims, but a few male hair meshes are available.

Peggy Sims2 - The motto listed on their site is, "Do our best ... " and they really do. The site is a nice clean layout and is updated often. Some of my favorite hair meshes come from this artist. A large portion of the site offers free downloads, but a membership area is listed as well. The fee is very reasonable, especially considering all of the download that you get to access.
